If you’ve been asked to talk with Scout

We make honesty safe.

Scout is here to learn how the work really gets done, not to judge you, and to help where it can. If your organisation has asked you to talk with Scout, this is what to expect.

Walk me through the last late booking change.

I changed it in the TMS, rang the depot, then updated the carrier portal.

Roughly how long does that take, end to end?

Demonstration discovery, Kestrel Freight Group (fictional). Illustrative. One person, one conversation.

Scout only asks.

Its job is to understand how the work actually gets done, including the parts that never show up on a screen.

What Scout is

  • Always clearly AI, from the first message
  • Curious about the work: the steps, the systems, what gets in the way
  • Interested in what works well, too
  • Yours to pause, skip or come back to

What it isn’t

  • Not A performance review
  • Not A test of you
  • Not A quiz with right answers
  • Not Advice or recommendations
  • Not A person

Who sees what you say.

People only tell the truth when they trust what it’s for. So here is exactly who can see what.

  • Your organisation

    What you said
Can see. As findings, by role
    That it was you
    Cannot see. Never
  • Other people Scout talks to

    What you said
    Cannot see. Never passed on
    That it was you
    Cannot see. Never
  • The 1QLabs team running it

    What you said
    Can see. Yes
    That it was you
Can see. So they can do the work properly

When your executives ask questions, the answers come in aggregate, and only once at least three people have contributed.

A real conversation, on your own time.

  • There’s nothing to book. Answer when it suits you, on the channel you already use: Teams, a browser, voice, text, phone or email.
  • One or two questions at a time, pitched to your work.
  • Skip a topic, say it isn’t your area, or come back to it days later.
  • Share your screen or send a file if it’s easier to show than say.
  • If Scout joins a meeting, you’ll be told.

Hi Priya, Scout would like to hear how the work really gets done in Warehouse operations.

Answer when it suits you. Skip any topic. No one at Kestrel sees who said what.

Frequently asked questions

Can my manager see what I said?

No. No one at your company sees who said what. Your organisation sees findings that trace to roles, and answers that come in aggregate, only once at least three people have contributed.

Is Scout a person?

No. Scout is always clearly AI and never pretends to be a person.

What if I don’t know the answer, or it isn’t my area?

Say so, and Scout moves on. You can also skip a topic or come back to it later.

How long does it take?

As long as you want it to. Five minutes is useful, twenty is great, and you can have several short conversations over days or weeks. You can stop at any point and come back later.

Do I have to take part?

Your organisation decides, and your invitation will say so. Either way, you can skip any question, say it isn’t your area, or stop and come back later.

Still unsure about something?

Ask Scout here, or write to the team that runs the discovery. Either way, nothing you ask goes to your organisation.
